A family owned and operated business, McIlhenny Company has been manufacturing TABASCO® Sauce on the same site on Avery Island in Louisiana since 1868.
TABASCO® Sauce is distributed in over 195 countries and sold to consumers as well as within the food service industry. Originally created by Edmund McIlhenny, TABASCO® Original Pepper Sauce is made with only three ingredients – vinegar, red peppers and salt.
Stuart Alexander & Co. launched TABASCO® Sauce in the Australian market in 2000 growing the brand to become a household name. Over 3 million bottles of TABASCO® Sauce were sold in Australia in 2019 predominately in grocery and foodservice channels.
