With uniquely Australian origins, Stuart Alexander has been marketing and distributing some of Australia’s favourite household brands for over 120 years. With a current portfolio of highly recognisable brands such as Guylian, Mentos, Luken & May, Werther’s, Tabasco, Fisherman’s Friend, and of course Rosella, it is almost guaranteed that an average Australian household has purchased a Stuart Alexander brand at one time or another.

So it was decided that it was our responsibility to give something back to a community that has supported our brands for so many years. This decision was realised when Stuart Alexander bought back the Rosella brand from foreign ownership in 2002. It was decided that a charitable foundation would be established to provide a vehicle through which all of Stuart Alexander’s philanthropic activities could be channelled – to truly make an impact on a cause. The Rosella Foundation was founded.

As a family-oriented Australian company, it was important that the beneficiaries of the Rosella Foundation shared similar values of family, Australian pride, integrity and trust that have become synonymous with both Rosella and Stuart Alexander.

The Rosella Foundation currently partners with The Smith Family’s Learning For Life Program, an initiative designed to aid and assist in financial and personal education support for students from financially disadvantaged families. This important cause has been developed to reverse the cycle of poverty and prevent current disadvantage from translating into life long disadvantage.

Stuart Alexander employs almost 200 people across Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Auckland, all of whom generously participate in Rosella Foundation / Smith Family initiatives. By donating via payroll donations, fundraising drives and devoting their free time to physical participation. In addition to company donations, Stuart Alexander both as a team and as a company is able to support qualified education support workers for children and mentoring for tertiary students involved in the ‘Learning For Life’ Program.
